| Late last month, Dr. Palmisano participated in the launch of the Coalition to Protect Patients’ Rights, Maine statewide steering committee in Portland. The launch event was covered by news crews from WGME (channel 13) and WCSH (channel 6). Speakers at the event included: Dr. Palmisano, Maine State Senator Carol Weston, Dr. Robert Walker and Tarren Bragdon, CEO of The Maine Heritage Policy Center.

| Just a couple of weeks ago the Coalition launched its Arkansas statewide steering committee at a media roundtable held in Little Rock. Leading the roundtable discussion was Dr. Donald Palmisano, national spokesman for the Coalition and former president of the American Medical Association.

| Recently, the Coalition to Protect Patients’ Rights held a press conference at the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce to announce the Coalition’s Wyoming steering committee. The press conference included Coalition national steering committee member Dr. Marcy Zwelling, local steering committee members, the Wyoming Contractors Association and the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce. Several media outlets attended including: Casper Star Tribune, Wyoming Tribune Eagle, KFBC Radio, KGAB Radio, KCWY – Channel 13, and KGWN – Channel 5 attended the event.

| Late last month, the Coalition to Protect Patients’ Rights launched its statewide steering committee in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Marcy Zwelling, a member of the Coalition’s National Steering Committee, headlined the activities in Utah. Dr. Zwelling was the keynote speaker at a breakfast event hosted by the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce where she was introduced by Rich McKeown, chief of staff to then-HHS Secretary Michael Leavitt. Following the breakfast, Dr. Zwelling appeared before the Utah Health and Human Services interim committee.
